When’s Probably THE BEST TIME TO TRAVEL TO ZAKYNTHOS?
People who love the warmth and the sun will certainly enjoy Zakynthos. The southernmost of the Ionian Islands promises a mild climate all year round, and the temperatures may even crack the fifteen-degree mark during winter. Nevertheless, the season generally begins with the first charter flights at the end of April, and in June, August, and July, temperatures rise to thirty degrees. Even the sea assumes a temperature of more than twenty degrees—the tip of ours for those that prefer a far more quiet time: October and September. Most of the tourists already left are barely any rainy days, and the sea still encourages you to go swimming.

Where’s Probably THE BEST PLACE TO STAY ON ZAKYNTHOS?
Probably The highest density of accommodations is available in the south and east of the island. The west and north are indeed remarkable as a result of the wild natural beauty and steep coasts. Still, uniquely in the north, there’s barely any accommodation available for immediate access to the beach. Certainly, the west of the island is rather quiet and romantic, but tourism gains more and more importance each year. In the south, particularly friends of endless beaches and parties get their money’s worth. In the east, there are also many accommodations with immediate access to the beach and the capital of the island and airport.
WHICH ARE Probably the most BEAUTIFUL BEACHES OF ZAKYNTHOS?
SHIPWRECK BEACH ZAKYNTHOS
Most likely the most photographed motif on Zakynthos: The Navagio beach. The so-called Shipwreck Beach in the northwest of the island is among the most beautiful beaches in Europe and captivates with turquoise blue water, white sand, and impressive rocky cliffs. Although the bay is always well attended, at least a 1-day trip is actually worthwhile. PORTO LIMNIONAS ZAKYNTHOS
Our next beach tip is actually a bit more unusual but spectacular: Porto Limnionas. This beach in the west of Zakynthos impresses with the natural beauty of its, it’s numerous rocky cliffs also as underwater caves and seems, therefore, more like a lagoon or perhaps bay. The numerous rocks and stones provide a glass clear view of the seabed, and especially divers and snorkelers get their money’s worth here.
GERAKAS BEACH ZAKYNTHOS
